War Memorial. Nicosia Cyprus. Cyprus is a divided, occupied country. Turkish forces have controlled the northern part of the island since 1974---displacing all Cypriot Greeks.

Paphos Archeological Site. Founded in the 4th century.

The birthplace of the infamous Aphrodite on the road to Paphos, Cyprus

This is where I began to notice many signs also in Russian.

University of Nicosia(UNIC)

View from my apartment at night near the University of Nicosia in the suburb of Engomi in what Cypriots call Lefkosia.

University of Nicosia

This is an impressive private, not-for-profit university based in Nicosia. I have been very impressed at the resources and professionalism here. The teaching has been quite good and I have been treated with great kindness by the Office of Global Semesters here. My apartment is great, centrally located---right near a grocery store and 5 minutes to classes.

Cyprus June 2019

I am in Nicosia, Cyprus accompanying a study abroad program in European Accounting and Blockchain during which I am to evaluate courses and strategize on how to make the relationship between my community college and the University of Nicosia more robust. The writing here will be sparse due to time constraints but I will post as many photos as I can.
