I took a boat down the Volga this weekend. Left Saratov Thursday around 2pm and returned Sunday morning. Boat was named Radnaya Rus, older vessel, pretty comfortable but a little cramped, not much of a shower, all Russians on board. Very interesting trip. Spent, May 9, Victory Day, in Volgograd, the place where Germany began to lose the war. Details and stories to follow. Pictures soon.
